Base Salary
$146k - $306k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement high-performance, highly available system software, including DPDK-based networking stacks, hardware abstraction layers, and custom hardware acceleration stacks.
- Build network virtualization, high-performance packet processing, and protocol-parsing software using C/C++ and other low-level languages.
- Work with Linux memory management, scheduling, I/O virtualization, kernel drivers, and DPU security features.
- Debug complex issues across operating system, driver, firmware, and hardware boundaries.
- Collaborate with architects and engineering teams across Compute, Storage, OS, Security, silicon, platform, and firmware organizations to lead project execution.
Requirements
- Expertise in systems programming with C, C++, Rust, or similar low-level languages.
- Strong understanding of Linux operating system internals.
- Experience with networking protocols, packet processing, or high-performance network programming.
- Familiarity with embedded systems, SmartNICs, DPUs, programmable hardware accelerators, or hardware-adjacent software development.
- Ability to debug software across operating system, driver, firmware, and hardware boundaries.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with SmartNICs, DPUs, NIC drivers, kernel networking, user-space packet processing frameworks, virtualization, cloud networking, SDN, distributed systems, performance tuning, concurrency, memory management, low-latency systems, or hardware-software co-design.
