Responsibilities
- Build and maintain Android features for Comcast Home Protection experiences.
- Collaborate with product, backend, and device teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Contribute to application architecture, design discussions, and technical decisions.
- Write maintainable Kotlin code using modern Android frameworks and cross-platform frameworks where appropriate.
- Implement and expand Spec-Driven Development rendering frameworks for backend-driven mobile UI.
- Improve application performance, reliability, and user experience across hardware and software integration layers.
- Debug and resolve complex production and connectivity issues.
- Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of professional Android development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin.
- Hands-on experience with Spec-Driven Development or dynamically backend-driven UI frameworks using JSON schemas.
- Experience integrating APIs and managing complex client-side state logic.
- Familiarity with MVVM, Clean Architecture, or similar architecture patterns.
- Solid debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred, though coursework and experience or extensive related professional experience may be considered.
- Preferred experience includes Flutter, Dart, Jetpack Compose, smart-home or IoT workflows, hardware activation, physical device orchestration, Android permissions, privacy constraints, app lifecycles, and large-scale consumer applications.
