Base Salary
$109k - $126k/yr
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary engineers to design, build, and operate innovative products and services.
- Break down complex and ambiguous problems into well-defined components before implementation.
- Contribute to scalable and reliable services with distributed-systems scope determined by the team.
- Participate in code reviews, including validating AI-generated code and providing constructive feedback.
- Create clear and accurate technical documentation.
- Use generative AI and AI-powered tools to improve development productivity while critically validating AI-generated code.
- Write clean and maintainable code using software development best practices and design patterns.
- Participate in an agile development environment with CI/CD principles and operational responsibilities, including on-call duties.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
- Have experience with at least one general-purpose programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
- Have experience with data structure implementation, basic algorithm development, and/or object-oriented design principles.
- Have experience using AI-assisted development tools in an academic or professional setting.
- Be able to work at least 40 hours per week for the 12-week internship.
- Have an expected degree conferral date between October 2027 and September 2029.
- Have at least one academic quarter, semester, or trimester remaining after the internship concludes.
- Preferred qualifications include prior technical internships or project experience.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS, SQL and NoSQL databases, AI development tools, open-source projects, and version control systems.
- Preferred qualifications include knowledge of software development lifecycle processes and strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, learning, adaptability, ownership, and initiative skills.
Benefits
- Full-time, in-person internship lasting 12 weeks from May or June through August or September 2027.
- Typical Monday-Friday schedule of up to 40 hours per week, generally between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
