Responsibilities
- Design, code, unit test, and functionally test application development deliverables.
- Define requirements and solution approaches with technical leads and project managers, including recommendations on scope and effort.
- Perform Agile application development using open-source tools for continuous integration and delivery.
- Collaborate with analysts, developers, technical product managers, QA engineers, product owners, network and security engineers, operations personnel, and system engineers.
- Support system design, development, integration testing, database modeling, software configuration, source code control, defect resolution, implementation planning, and deployment change management.
- Ensure development follows Visa Development Management Methodology, Visa Technical Security Requirements, and the Secure Software Development Lifecycle.
- Create required software and procedure documentation and maintain relationships with global development teams and engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or three or more years of relevant work experience.
- Two or more years of work experience is preferred.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred.
- Experience with software design, application development, Java, J2EE, Spring, data modeling, and SQL programming.
- Working knowledge of JBoss Web Server, Apache Tomcat, Red Hat Linux, MS SQL Server, LDAP, and Microsoft Windows.
- Familiarity with Jira, Jenkins, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
- Strong programming skills with JavaScript, ECMAScript 6+, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Knowledge of React, Angular, Bootstrap, Webpack, Node.js, and jQuery.
- Proficiency with RESTful APIs, testable components, unit testing, and front-end testing frameworks.
- Experience with rich user interface design and full-stack development is a plus.
- Familiarity with Generative AI and prompt engineering is a plus.
