Base Salary
$174k - $252k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build rigorous evaluations to measure model performance across workloads and drive continuous quality hillclimbing.
- Develop modular and adaptable solutions for integration across multiple Google product areas.
- Collaborate with engineering, product management, and data science partners to translate requirements and feedback into model quality improvements.
- Design experiments and prototype implementations for generative AI model improvement.
- Support efficient, adaptable solutions using routing, standalone systems, and multi-agent systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 3 years of software development experience in Python or C++.
- Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
- Experience crafting model evaluations and hillclimbing model performance.
- Preferred: Master’s or PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 2 years of experience designing benchmark suites and advancing model quality.
- Preferred: experience with LLM orchestration, routing, or multi-agent workflows.
- Preferred: strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills.
