Responsibilities
- Define architectures and reusable patterns for orchestration, planning, tool use, memory, evaluation loops, and multi-agent workflows.
- Standardize LLM providers, embedding models, vector databases, retrieval strategies, prompt templates, evaluators, and observability components.
- Lead business discovery, solution scoping, proof-of-concept, pilot, and production scale-out phases.
- Own security, privacy, compliance, performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency requirements, including token and compute budgeting.
- Design data contracts, chunking, indexing, hybrid search, citations, grounding, freshness pipelines, and hallucination guardrails.
- Define enterprise integration strategies for systems, event streams, APIs, gateways, messaging, and software delivery governance.
- Establish evaluation frameworks, end-to-end telemetry, failure mitigations, and responsible AI safety policies.
- Guide developer squads and contribute to playbooks, training, coding standards, and AI-focused interviewer panels.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of experience in Java full-stack development.
- 15 years of full-time education.
- Strong computer science and software engineering fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG, vector databases, and AI APIs.
- Proven ability to build end-to-end applications and integrate AI into software systems.
- A visible portfolio of AI projects demonstrating experimentation and rapid iteration.
- Experience designing multi-agent systems, agent frameworks, or custom orchestration.
- Experience with production-grade RAG, retrieval evaluation, reranking, freshness pipelines, vector databases, and hybrid search.
- Experience with LLMOps or ModelOps, including prompt versioning, evaluation harnesses, feature flags, canarying, safety gateways, and related operational practices.
- Experience with cloud-native architecture, secrets management, policy as code, AI workload cost governance, enterprise API integration, event buses, messaging, and contract testing.
- Primary proficiency in at least one of Python, TypeScript/Node.js, or Java; familiarity with C#/.NET, Go, Rust, SQL, and shell scripting is beneficial.
- Ability to translate business problems into practical AI solutions and communicate clearly with business and engineering stakeholders.
