Base Salary
$187k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced data platforms, unified data models, and metadata management systems for AI/ML training and inference.
- Develop cloud-based distributed software architectures and microservice platforms for low-latency real-time streaming and complex event processing.
- Optimize AI-based imaging and audio algorithms for distributed execution across cloud and edge devices.
- Develop applications, data-collection tools, and instrumentation for interactive and immersive data-driven experiences.
- Build cloud backend solutions and partner on web and Android/iOS applications connected to those backends.
- Consult on and implement data governance and management policies.
- Collaborate with Dolby researchers and business partners to move innovative technologies into production.
Requirements
- Master's degree in computer science or a related field; a PhD is a plus.
- 5+ years of professional experience, including relevant experience building and designing distributed data systems.
- 4+ years of experience with cloud systems, distributed computing architectures, service design and implementation, container orchestration, and optimization techniques.
- Strong proficiency in Python and an additional language such as C++, Golang, or Rust.
- Knowledge of statistics, data science, AI/machine learning, big data management, data structures, distributed algorithms, data modeling, and heterogeneous stream-based data analytics.
- Experience with real-time messaging and streaming architectures, platforms, and frameworks.
- Experience with AI/ML models, cloud optimization, and software development patterns.
- Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, Bash, UNIX/Linux commands, Git, and project management tools such as JIRA.
- Knowledge of audio/video formats, processing, editing, and streaming is desired.
- Experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Databricks, or Spark is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, communication, and presentation skills.
