Base Salary
$121k - $182k/yr
Responsibilities
- Conduct feasibility studies, estimates, IT planning, risk technology activities, application development, model development, and implementation of new or revised systems.
- Analyze requirements and design, build, test, implement, monitor, and support business applications.
- Develop high-performance, low-latency, multi-threaded Java applications and distributed microservices for fixed-income trade processing.
- Analyze complex application and business-process issues, recommend solutions, and consult with users, clients, and technology groups.
- Develop post-implementation security measures and evaluate system design, functionality, and business usage.
- Support operating standards and procedures, assess technology and business risks, and drive compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert and advisor to senior stakeholders and coach new or lower-level analysts.
- Work independently with limited supervision while managing estimates, timelines, deadlines, and changing requirements.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s or university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Core Java, including multi-threaded applications, data structures, algorithms, collections, and error handling.
- Expertise with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, and Spring Security.
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices and RESTful web services.
- Experience with Maven or Gradle, SQL, relational databases, clean and testable code, systems analysis, and software application programming.
- Experience with Jira, Git or Bitbucket, Gradle, TeamCity, UrbanCode Deploy, Linux or Unix, Artifactory, Docker, and OpenShift.
- Experience designing high-performance, low-latency applications and managing and implementing successful projects.
- Knowledge of fixed-income products, customer and broker market platforms, and trading protocols is desirable.
- Working knowledge of consulting and project-management techniques, with the ability to learn new business concepts and technologies and manage pressure, deadlines, and changing requirements.
