Responsibilities
- Support software engineering activities within the engineering framework.
- Review and assure system-level artefacts, including system planning, integration, design and development, and test and evaluation.
- Contribute to the execution of system reviews across Mission and Support Systems.
- Maintain documentation repositories for engineering activities in compliance with Defence policy, regulatory requirements, and legislated standards.
- Apply established engineering standards, tools, and processes under general direction.
- Manage personal work and priorities while collaborating with multidisciplinary and multinational teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering from an Australian institution or a qualification satisfying Washington Accord requirements for recognition as a professional engineer.
- Approximately 2–5 years of experience in a relevant engineering role.
- Understanding of software engineering methods and software design and development processes.
- Experience supporting software engineering activities for major capital acquisition.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Eligibility to access ITAR-controlled information.
- Required NV1 security clearance.
- Desirable experience with software engineering tools and methods, defence or other high-assurance environments, systems engineering practices, JORN or OTHR capability, and relevant Defence engineering frameworks and standards.
