Responsibilities
- Develop features and protocol components for Cisco IOS XR networking systems.
- Test and integrate software into customer environments.
- Develop expertise in networking, security, operating-system, and related protocols.
- Serve as a subject matter contact for a component area when required.
- Translate requirements with product management, testing, and customer teams into working software.
- Perform issue triage, monitoring, support, and resolution across the software lifecycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, electronics and communication, or a technical equivalent.
- Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in C and C++.
- Proven understanding of GenAI capabilities and AI-powered software development.
- Knowledge of operating-system concepts, computer networking, multithreaded programming, and UNIX-based system programming.
- Exposure to network security, Go, Python, L2/L3 protocols, or optical networking is preferred.
