Responsibilities

  • Design and lead implementation of a unified enterprise integration layer supporting canonical business domains, source-system extensions, and cross-vertical connectivity.
  • Define architecture standards, principles, and best practices for integration and API engineering.
  • Design scalable, secure, and highly available API ecosystems and integration solutions.
  • Lead architecture reviews and provide hands-on technical guidance across engineering teams.
  • Define standards for API design, security, observability, documentation, and lifecycle management.
  • Lead integration strategies across internal applications, ERP and SaaS platforms, enterprise systems, and external partners.
  • Facilitate domain discovery and event-storming workshops with business and technical stakeholders.
  • Design and implement event-driven and message-based architectures using enterprise messaging platforms.
  • Drive AI-assisted engineering practices, TDD, Clean Architecture, SOLID principles, and automated quality practices.
  • Lead modernization and technical debt reduction initiatives and partner with platform teams on deployment automation and developer experience.
  • Mentor architects, technical leads, and engineering teams while advising on strategic technology investments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in architecture, principal engineering, staff engineering, or technical leadership roles with active hands-on coding.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale integration platforms, unified integration layers, and distributed systems.
  • Deep expertise in Domain-Driven Design, event-driven architecture, API architecture, enterprise integrations, and API governance.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise messaging and event platforms such as Azure Service Bus, Event Hubs, RabbitMQ, Solace, Apache Kafka, or AWS SQS.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, OpenAPI Specifications, OAuth2, OIDC, API security, identity management, and observability.
  • Modern .NET and C# experience is highly desired; comparable depth in an equivalent stack such as Java is acceptable.
  • Experience with CQRS, Event Sourcing, Saga Patterns, distributed transaction management, OpenTelemetry, and enterprise observability platforms.
  • Daily hands-on use of AI tools such as Copilot, RAG-based tools, or agentic coding assistants.
  • Strong English fluency for direct collaboration with a US-based team and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ownership, accountability, proactive risk identification, autonomy, and ability to communicate architecture decisions clearly.
