Responsibilities
- Own a scoped Global Payments project from technical design through implementation, testing, and launch.
- Build and improve payment features across web and client platforms with guidance from a mentor and the wider team.
- Navigate and contribute to a large, mature codebase by reading existing code, tracing behavior, and making compatible changes.
- Write well-tested code and clear documentation with strong correctness and reliability standards.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and team rituals as a full team member.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical discipline and returning to the program after the internship.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, Go, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Kotlin, or Swift.
- Foundational knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and systems concepts.
- Preferred: hands-on web development experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, or Vue through coursework, personal projects, or prior internships.
- Preferred: mobile development experience with Android/Kotlin or iOS/Swift.
- Ability to communicate clearly, ask questions early, and collaborate in a team environment.
