Base Salary

$191k - $253k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver software-enabled solutions deployed to customers, balancing end-user needs with technical and operational constraints.
  • Design, implement, and evolve scalable software for autonomous maritime platforms and reusable services across product lines.
  • Develop software running on and off robotic platforms, including autonomy, simulation, data processing, payload integration, and command-and-control systems.
  • Design and execute development processes covering delivery, testing, monitoring, operation, and sustainment across the product lifecycle.
  • Create software- and hardware-in-the-loop test and simulation fixtures.
  • Support vehicle manufacturing, deployment, and customer operations.
  • Act as a technical owner for software services, including requirements, roadmaps, architecture, implementation, sustainment, and evolution.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and mentor software engineers.
  • Travel to end-user or team locations up to 20% of the time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in robotics, mechatronics, computer science, engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive professional experience as a software engineer with expertise in one or more domains or technologies.
  • Systems and application programming skills in algorithms, data structures, concurrency, scaling, testing, infrastructure, software design, and system design.
  • Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems.
  • Ability to work across the software stack and through design, implementation, operation, and sustainment.
  • Ability to own a software service technically, including stakeholder engagement, requirements definition, roadmap management, team coordination, design, implementation, sustainment, and evolution.
  • Ability to mentor junior team members and build team cohesion.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Preferred experience delivering military mission systems in a senior role.
  • Preferred experience with C++, Rust, Go, TypeScript, React, horizontally scaled cloud technologies, embedded robotics software, modeling and simulation, safety-critical software, and manufacturing-to-sustainment product delivery.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering concepts and interest in progressing toward Staff Software Engineer or Software Engineering Manager roles.
