Base Salary
$126k - $177k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and develop BSP and diagnostic software for Cisco core and edge routing products.
- Develop and test kernel and user-space device drivers for FPGA and networking peripherals.
- Execute software test plans.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to debug prototypes and validate software.
- Troubleshoot defects from kernel modules through applications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field with 2+ years of experience, or a master’s degree.
- Proficiency in C and Python.
- Knowledge of hardware and device-driver development, including Linux hardware bring-up.
- Experience developing, debugging, and validating embedded systems and device drivers for protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, PCIe, and/or GPIO.
- Preferred: proficiency with kernel debugging tools such as GDB and KGDB.
- Preferred: experience developing software from concept through delivery for large-scale, high-bandwidth systems.
