Base Salary
$155k - $223k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and test C, C++, and P4 programs for packet-processing behavior on high-performance network devices.
- Build and optimize the backend of the P4 compiler for advanced networking hardware.
- Solve resource-management and resource-allocation challenges across programmable network-processing pipelines.
- Collaborate with ASIC engineers on P4 integration and compiler support during hardware development cycles.
- Design and implement new C, C++, and P4 language features for network application developers.
- Develop Python test frameworks and test cases to validate SDK correctness, performance, and reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or a master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Production-quality software design and development experience using C, C++, or P4.
- Experience troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving complex issues across large distributed codebases using tools such as GDB and PDB.
- Experience with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking technologies, protocols, and data-plane behavior.
- Python experience developing scalable, maintainable, production-ready software.
- Experience with network-processor software programming is preferred.
