Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and development of secure, maintainable enterprise Appian applications.
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and provide guidance on solution design and integration approaches.
- Contribute across technical design, sprint planning, testing, deployment, production support, and performance optimization.
- Lead technical discussions with clients and collaborate with architects, product managers, business analysts, and engineering teams.
- Mentor junior developers and help improve engineering quality across delivery teams.
- Support backlog refinement, estimation, sprint demonstrations, technical reviews, unit testing, and continuous improvement.
- Manage integrations, deployments, release pipelines, security, performance, and production troubleshooting within applications or workstreams.
- Identify opportunities to improve delivery through automation, reusable components, and emerging AI capabilities.
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale Appian solutions for complex clients.
- Strong experience developing Appian applications using Records, Record Types, Relationships, SAIL Interfaces, Process Models, Sites, Reports, and CDTs across the full application lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL, data modelling, and enterprise data structures.
- Experience working in blended teams of client staff and third-party vendors.
- Experience designing and implementing integrations with Connected Systems, Web APIs, and external services using REST and SOAP patterns.
- Experience identifying performance bottlenecks, applying caching strategies, and using Appian Health Check reports and process monitoring.
- Experience implementing Appian security, managing deployments and release pipelines, and troubleshooting production issues.
- Experience producing technical design documentation, performing unit testing, and delivering solutions against acceptance criteria.
- Strong understanding of Appian development best practices and enterprise application design principles.
- Experience working in Agile Scrum teams, including sprint planning, refinement, estimation, and demonstrations.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with business stakeholders, Product Owners, and technical teams.
- Proactive approach to continuous learning and emerging Appian capabilities.
