Responsibilities
- Lead system integration testing and test automation for newly developed or enhanced applications.
- Develop, maintain, and advise on reusable automated testing frameworks and strategies across software layers.
- Translate business and functional requirements into end-to-end business scenarios and concrete test results.
- Conduct functional, non-functional, regression, browser, performance, capacity, stress, resiliency, environment, infrastructure, API, and database testing.
- Track test execution milestones and report issues, risks, dependencies, and environmental or data requirements that may affect project timelines.
- Partner with product management, application development, DevOps, business clients, and other technical teams.
- Support delivery pipeline adoption, process compliance, technical management, project coordination, and associated documentation.
- Mentor junior test engineers, verify work products, and provide testing expertise and oversight.
Requirements
- Minimum six years of related experience delivering software solutions with hands-on automated testing.
- Bachelor's degree preferred and/or equivalent experience.
- Experience with test engineering methodologies, test automation frameworks, and the software implementation lifecycle.
- Proficiency in automation for UI, services, APIs, and other software layers, as well as CI/CD technologies.
- Sophisticated Java and Selenium development skills, including frontend automation with Selenium WebDriver.
- Hands-on backend automation experience with API testing tools such as Rest Assured, Karate, and Postman, plus database testing with Oracle, DB2, or Snowflake.
- Experience writing sophisticated SQL queries and using Jira, ALM, Bitbucket, Git, and Jenkins.
- Experience testing modern scripting-language-based components; Unix, Python, and AWS experience is a plus.
- Experience coordinating onsite/offshore work and mentoring junior test engineers.
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
