Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for critical software, middleware, and enterprise application projects across multiple platforms.
- Lead architecture, development, integration, implementation, and approval of technical solutions and deliverables.
- Apply deep backend development expertise to improve performance, security, database efficiency, scalability, and resilience.
- Troubleshoot complex system and performance issues, conduct root cause analysis, and optimize data flow across services and APIs.
- Oversee comprehensive functional, performance, security, and automated testing activities.
- Act as a technical liaison with stakeholders and communicate technical implications, risks, and solution strategies.
- Review, author, and approve technical documentation and architecture diagrams.
- Mentor team members, establish technical standards, and drive continuous process improvement.
- Ensure deliverables comply with internal and external IT and information security requirements.
- Promote effective use of AI-assisted engineering tools and coach team members on their use.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of experience in software development, architecture, and system integration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Computer Applications, or a Master’s in Computer Applications.
- Expert programming skills in Java, Spring Boot, and Python; strong skills in Angular and Node.js.
- Expert understanding of AWS services including DynamoDB, S3, ECS, Route 53, Athena, Lambda, Step Functions, SNS/SQS, CloudFormation, IAM, API security, and Bedrock.
- Experience with GitHub, Bitbucket, OAuth, Okta, JWTs, Splunk, Honeycomb, OpenTelemetry, CloudWatch, Cucumber, Confluence, and Jira.
- Expertise in software architecture, event-driven architectures, system design, and technical leadership for enterprise applications.
- Experience with test automation, monitoring dashboards, root cause analysis, and complex technical troubleshooting.
- Experience mentoring teams, establishing technical standards, and driving continuous improvement.
- Ability to use and mentor others on AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot.
- AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Solutions Architect, or AWS Solution Consultant certification is desired.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
