Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain native Android and iOS applications focused on quality, performance, usability, and accessibility.
- Build scalable mobile architecture and reusable modular components using Kotlin and Swift.
- Integrate mobile applications with backend APIs, cloud services, third-party SDKs, maps, location services, notifications, analytics, and device capabilities.
- Implement state management, local data handling, performance optimization, asynchronous workflows, queued operations, retries, and resilient API error handling.
- Develop adaptive Android and iOS interfaces and maintain consistent UX across devices and platforms.
- Write and maintain unit, instrumentation, and UI tests and support release quality through CI-integrated validation.
- Contribute across Kotlin/Android and Swift/iOS codebases, release workflows, documentation, and product collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5-8 years of professional mobile app development experience.
- Expert proficiency in Kotlin and native Android development, including the Android SDK, app lifecycle, modern APIs, architecture, state management, performance optimization, and profiling.
- Experience with Android ViewModel, LiveData/Flow, Hilt or Dagger, XML, Jetpack Compose, Retrofit, OkHttp, Gson, push notifications, background services, threading, and coroutines.
- Expert proficiency in Swift and production experience with UIKit, SwiftUI, iOS architecture, modularization, asynchronous programming, concurrency, and app lifecycle behavior.
- Experience with CocoaPods or SPM, third-party SDK integration, provisioning and signing basics, and environment-based iOS build and scheme management.
- Experience with mobile CI/CD pipelines and build tooling such as Gradle, Xcode pipelines, Azure Pipelines, App Center, or GitHub Actions.
- Preferred experience includes schedule-based field-service workflows, real-time or near-real-time mobile synchronization, push notifications, background sync, maps and location features, GPS tracking, route/navigation interactions, and CRM or accounting API integrations.
- Preferred experience includes Salesforce or QuickBooks, AWS X-Ray or Kinesis, SonarQube, Copilot CLI, or Claude Code.
- Ability to collaborate with product, design, and QA while maintaining release documentation and standards.
