Base Salary
$181k - $248k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead customer technical projects by delivering production-grade systems, reference architectures, custom applications, data ingestion, and ML/AI model integrations.
- Guide strategic customers through the end-to-end design, build, and deployment of big data and AI applications.
- Own architecture and design decisions to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with customer needs and Databricks best practices.
- Embed with customer teams, understand stakeholder challenges, provide technical guidance and training, and drive successful adoption of Databricks.
- Coordinate with Databricks engineers, project managers, architects, customer teams, and support to deliver engagement requirements and resolve issues.
- Provide product and implementation feedback and contribute reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices that influence the Databricks product roadmap.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
- Ability to write code in Python, Scala, JavaScript, or TypeScript using modern frameworks.
- Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems, with expertise in one or more of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
- Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
- Experience designing and deploying performant production data architectures and applications combining data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user-facing interfaces.
- Experience delivering technical projects, including managing scope and timelines and translating complex concepts into actionable solutions.
- Experience working with enterprise clients and managing conflicts across broad stakeholder groups.
- Strong documentation and whiteboarding skills, plus curiosity and adaptability in exploring technologies for Databricks-based solutions.
- Databricks Certification is required or expected.
- Ability to travel to customers 20% of the time.
