Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend APIs and platform services.
- Develop backend systems using Node.js, Express.js, and PostgreSQL.
- Integrate banking, payment, and financial APIs.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams on new platform capabilities.
- Contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions.
- Ensure backend reliability, performance, and scalability.
- Support fintech and SaaS product features for international markets.
- Work with overseas stakeholders and distributed engineering teams.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong backend engineering experience with modern JavaScript ecosystems.
- Deep experience with JavaScript, Node.js, Express.js, APIs, PostgreSQL databases, architecture, and fintech web applications.
- Good understanding of API design and backend system integration.
- Comfort working in fast-paced startup or product-driven environments.
- Strong ownership, independence, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours with US-based teams.
- Candidates must already be based in Taipei.
