Responsibilities
- Own deployment, health, and continuous improvement of multi-cloud, multi-region SaaS environments spanning the US, Europe, and Asia
- Design and evolve cloud architecture for global customer availability, stability, and performance
- Own and improve CI/CD infrastructure toward a fully automated software delivery lifecycle
- Build automation tooling and internal systems to reduce operational toil and improve developer velocity
- Define and maintain observability standards for metrics, alerting, logging, and distributed tracing
- Identify performance degradation and capacity risks, lead incident response, and drive root cause analysis
- Partner with application engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle
- Participate in on-call rotation and improve documentation, runbooks, and operational processes
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of hands-on DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering experience with ownership of production cloud environments at scale
- Proficiency with Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform, Ansible, and major cloud providers such as AWS and/or Azure
- Experience managing enterprise-grade NoSQL and SQL databases, key/value stores, and messaging systems such as AMQP and MQTT
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Mimir, Thanos, Grafana, and strong understanding of SRE practices in a SaaS environment
- Exposure to Go, TypeScript, Python, or Bash for infrastructure programming and scripting
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Business-level English and Japanese communication skills
- Valid Japanese work visa at the time of application; visa sponsorship is not provided
