Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Define, prioritize, design, build, and test new software features.
  • Operate globally distributed services supporting AWS customers and servers at massive scale.
  • Design and implement reliable, scalable distributed systems and services.
  • Oversee the complete software development lifecycle, including development, testing, and operations.
  • Use data to make decisions, validate assumptions, and solve problems across broad data sources.
  • Collaborate across AWS, communicate technical value, and mentor other engineers.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
  • At least 1 year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • At least 1 year of Object Oriented Design experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Preferred: 3+ years covering the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
