Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable ML inference pipelines in collaboration with scientists and engineers.
- Architect and improve databases that store workflow metadata and outputs.
- Improve system performance and reliability as data volumes grow.
- Participate in requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operations.
- Conduct code reviews, mentor teammates, and document software for maintainability.
- Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and product managers to shape customer-facing products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- At least 5 years of programming experience with one or more modern languages such as C++, Java, Scala, or Python.
- At least 2 years of experience with AWS technologies such as Batch, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, and SQS.
- Preferred: MS in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Genomics, or a related field.
- Preferred: at least 2 years of experience with scientific software, bioinformatics tools, high-performance computing, or data visualization libraries such as Plotly, Altair, or D3.
- Preferred: experience with NoSQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational databases, along with analytical, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
