Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, implement, and support PeopleSoft Payroll solutions covering pay calculation, confirmation, garnishments, retroactive pay, and off-cycle processing.
- Configure and maintain Payroll WorkCenter navigation, queries, dashboards, alerts, and enhancements.
- Support quarterly and year-end payroll activities, including tax updates, W-2 processing, ACA activities, and compliance reporting.
- Troubleshoot payroll processing errors, system issues, and integrations with benefits providers, tax agencies, and financial systems.
- Collaborate with HR and Benefits teams on employee compensation, deductions, and benefit calculations.
- Develop and maintain SQR, PS Query, BI Publisher, and nVision reports for payroll operations and audits.
- Participate in PeopleSoft PUM updates, tax patching, payroll-related testing, and process automation.
- Ensure payroll processes comply with federal, state, and organizational regulations and maintain technical documentation.
- Provide technical support during payroll cycles to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Human Resources Technology, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5+ years of experience as a PeopleSoft HCM/Payroll Developer.
- Ability to obtain and retain a Top Secret clearance.
- Strong proficiency with PeopleCode, Application Designer, Application Engine, Component Interface, Event Mapping, SQR, COBOL, BI Publisher, and PS Query.
- In-depth knowledge of PeopleSoft Payroll processes, including pay calendars, deductions, earnings, garnishments, retroactive pay, and tax updates.
- Experience configuring, customizing, and administering Payroll WorkCenter.
- Strong SQL and database skills, with Oracle preferred.
- Understanding of payroll compliance, tax regulations, audit requirements, security roles, permissions, and audit controls.
- Ability to troubleshoot effectively and work under tight payroll deadlines.
- Preferred qualifications include Fluid UI experience, Leave Management, Base Benefits, Time & Attendance integration, payroll year-end processing, cloud-hosted PeopleSoft environments, automated testing, and payroll process automation.
