Responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end release validation and regression tests on humanoid robot software builds.
  • Triage test failures and route issues to the appropriate owners.
  • Contribute automated tests to GitLab CI and GitHub Actions pipelines.
  • Design and run policy evaluations for learned robot behaviors using defined success criteria and reproducible trials.
  • Run evaluations in Gazebo and NVIDIA Isaac Sim alongside physical robot tests and analyze sim-to-real differences.
  • Collect end-to-end performance and reliability metrics across releases.
  • Maintain dashboards showing pass/fail rates, latency, and performance trends.
  • Keep test data clean and consistently labeled for meaningful long-term analysis.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in software test engineering or test automation, ideally involving robotics, embedded systems, or another physical-systems domain.
  • Strong proficiency in Python for scripting and test automation.
  • Ability to read C++.
  • Working knowledge of ROS2 topics, services, and interaction with running robots.
  • Comfort with Linux and Ubuntu, including terminal use, shell scripting, and basic system administration.
  • Methodical and curious approach to identifying edge cases that break builds.
  • Experience with Gazebo, NVIDIA Isaac Sim, or Unity is preferred.
  • Exposure to Hardware-in-the-Loop test benches is preferred.
  • Basic electrical debugging skills with a multimeter and oscilloscope are preferred.
  • Awareness of IEC 61508 and ISO 26262 safety-critical standards is preferred.
