Base Salary
$138k - $208k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own internal software products end to end, from ambiguous problems through reliable production delivery.
- Build Go services with Gin and sqlc, React/TypeScript frontends with Vite, and Postgres-backed applications.
- Build data pipelines and integrations with Workday, Slack, Jira, and other company systems of record.
- Use versioned schema migrations, including Alembic, and retire legacy Python/Flask systems by migrating their data and APIs.
- Deploy and operate applications on GCP and AWS using ECS, RDS, Terraform, and GitHub Actions.
- Create metrics, analyses, and visualizations from people, financial, and operational data using SQL and Python.
- Maintain data correctness, identity-aware access, in-code authorization, testing, monitoring, and alerting.
- Collaborate directly with company leaders and People, Finance, IT, and other partner teams to prioritize and define products.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience building software products with a large user base.
- Experience with GCP and/or AWS and relational databases.
- Comfort building with AI coding tools.
- Strong SQL and data analysis experience, including defining metrics, separating signal from noise, and explaining findings to non-technical audiences.
- Experience owning products end to end from ambiguous problem to shipped solution.
- Business interest, strong communication skills, and ability to work directly with senior stakeholders.
- Preferred experience with Go, React/TypeScript, Postgres, data science or statistics, enterprise HR or finance systems, HR-tech or fintech product companies, internal tooling, process automation, or a combined business and engineering background.
