Base Salary
$238k - $318k/yr
Responsibilities
- Manage fine-tuning systems for large foundation models, including SFT, PEFT, LoRA, adapters, multi-node orchestration, checkpointing, failure recovery, and cost-efficient scaling.
- Implement and maintain end-to-end training pipelines for large language models.
- Develop reinforcement fine-tuning and reinforcement learning capabilities for training and fine-tuning workflows.
- Build distillation and reinforcement learning pipelines, including preference optimization, policy optimization, and reward modeling.
- Manage dataset, model, and experiment versioning, lineage, evaluation, and reproducible fine-tuning at scale.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 8 years of industry experience leading and driving impactful AI projects.
- Experience with generative AI, including large language models and multimodal models.
- Hands-on experience training, fine-tuning, and aligning LLMs using reinforcement learning and reinforcement fine-tuning techniques.
- Ability to work proactively, collaboratively, and autonomously.
- Passion for building cutting-edge AI products and solving challenging technical problems.
- Preferred: proficiency in Golang or Python for large-scale production services and PyTorch.
- Preferred: contributions to open-source AI projects such as vLLM or similar frameworks.
- Preferred: experience optimizing performance on GPU systems and inference frameworks.
