Responsibilities
- Design and manage image datasets and databases for AI vision applications.
- Coordinate product-image data collection with manufacturing stakeholders for model training.
- Manage data engineers and govern data-labeling standards for accuracy and consistency.
- Perform data preprocessing and augmentation.
- Develop, train, optimize, and fine-tune computer vision models for detection, classification, and segmentation.
- Test and evaluate model performance using metrics appropriate to each use case.
- Conduct error analysis and continuously improve trained-model performance.
- Build and maintain a production-data-to-model-retraining feedback loop.
- Collaborate with production, quality, engineering, manufacturing, and university partners.
- Translate customer requirements and acceptance criteria into model-training conditions.
- Support pilot and full-scale model deployment.
