Responsibilities
- Drive incident response and post-mortem processes to support continuous improvement.
- Design, build, and improve internal tools and automation software for safer and easier production service maintenance.
- Lead reliability practices including SLO design and implementation, failure analysis, load and capacity planning, service reviews, architecture design, and incident postmortems.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and provide expertise during critical system incidents.
- Own and improve the reliability, performance, and scalability of systems and services.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience in an object-oriented or modern programming language, preferably .NET or TypeScript.
- Experience working on large-scale, high-traffic platforms for an end-product company.
- Hands-on experience or familiarity with production deployment and end-to-end application lifecycle ownership.
- Knowledge of architecture and application design.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Preferred: understanding of lower-level software frameworks and networking.
- Preferred: distributed monitoring experience with logging, metrics, and tracing using OpenTelemetry and Prometheus.
- Preferred: scripting experience with Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
- Preferred: previous SRE experience and experience in a cloud-driven environment using AWS, GCP, or Azure.
