Responsibilities
- Assess service maturity and provide insights to development teams.
- Partner with development teams to implement observability best practices.
- Enable teams to independently deploy, support, and manage their services and infrastructure.
- Mentor developers on reliability practices and self-sufficiency.
- Drive adoption of reliability tooling and practices across development teams.
- Contribute to observability standards, incident response practices, and service health metrics.
- Help design services for reliability and establish clear ownership and operational standards.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in software development, SRE, DevOps, or production development roles.
- Experience operating production systems.
- Deep understanding of observability practices in distributed systems and their impact on system design and team behavior.
- Practical experience with SRE concepts including SLOs, error budgets, and incident management.
- Proficiency with cloud-native platforms and infrastructure-as-code concepts and tools.
- Working knowledge of at least one programming language; TypeScript/Node.js is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to translate complex reliability concepts into actionable guidance.
- Ability to enable development teams to operate independently.
