Responsibilities
- Support highly available, fault-tolerant, scalable, secure, and resilient systems.
- Define and track Service Level Indicators, Service Level Objectives, and error budgets.
- Implement end-to-end application and infrastructure monitoring, logging, and alerting.
- Lead or participate in production incident response, on-call rotations, post-incident reviews, and corrective actions.
- Automate scaling, incident recovery, routine operational work, and self-healing capabilities to reduce MTTR.
- Build internal tools, platforms, and telemetry that improve operational efficiency and issue detection.
- Partner with development teams on releases, rollbacks, change validation, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, security, infrastructure, and operations teams and document operational standards and practices.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience with incident management processes in IT operations.
- At least 7 years of experience with Java, JavaScript, HTML, XML, CSS, Java Enterprise Edition technologies, and the Spring framework.
- At least 1 year of experience with ReactJS or Angular and container technologies including Kubernetes and Docker.
- Knowledge of web security and the OWASP Top 10.
- Experience or knowledge with web services, databases, DevOps tools, MFA, cloud-hosted applications on AWS, collaboration tools, Kafka, middleware technologies, and related application technologies.
- Strong analysis, debugging, problem-solving, investigation leadership, reporting, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with AI Ops or developing and implementing AI-based tools is preferred.
- Ability to collaborate, learn continuously, work with changing priorities, and drive cross-functional investigations.
