Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend APIs and services in PHP using Laravel and/or Symfony.
- Maintain legacy PHP software.
- Design, optimize, and query relational and non-relational databases.
- Collaborate with frontend, product management, design, and DevOps teams on technical and functional requirements.
- Write unit and integration tests and contribute to code quality improvements.
- Use Git-based workflows, including branching, merges, pull requests, and code reviews.
- Analyze and resolve bugs and production issues.
- Contribute to technical documentation.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in backend development.
- Excellent knowledge of PHP.
- Experience with Laravel and/or Symfony.
- Good knowledge of MySQL, including modeling, queries, and basic optimization.
- Experience with non-relational databases such as MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB, or similar.
- Knowledge and use of Git workflows.
- Experience writing automated tests with PHPUnit or equivalent frameworks.
- Familiarity with RESTful architectures and API consumption or integrations.
- Docker, AWS, CI/CD knowledge, English and/or Spanish proficiency, and AI-agent development experience are considered pluses.
- Problem-solving, teamwork, proactivity, responsible autonomy, and continuous-learning skills.
