Base Salary
$125k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop AI systems that automate dispute and chargeback handling using structured evidence and business logic
- Build models that automate refunds and accelerate customer reimbursements
- Build and maintain evidence-extraction pipelines that process unstructured data through LLM-powered workflows
- Prototype modeling approaches, run offline experiments, and move effective solutions into production with appropriate risk controls
- Measure and monitor models and keep production systems healthy
- Collaborate with Engineering, Servicing Operations, Product, and ML Platform to define requirements, evaluate tradeoffs, and communicate results
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a machine learning engineer
- Strong Python skills and experience writing production-quality code
- Experience building and evaluating tabular classification models, preferably with LightGBM, XGBoost, or CatBoost
- Experience building applications with LLM APIs such as OpenAI or Anthropic, including structured extraction, prompt engineering, and orchestration with LangChain or LangGraph
- Familiarity with document and unstructured-data processing, including PDF or image extraction and text parsing
- Experience with ML lifecycle tooling for training orchestration, experimentation, and model monitoring, such as Kubeflow, Airflow, or MLflow
- Proficiency using AI-powered developer tools such as Claude Code or Cursor
- Ability to design solutions spanning multiple software components and write clear, well-tested, extensible code
- Ability to navigate large codebases, debug others’ code, and provide code-review feedback
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to professional growth
