Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and operate backend services integrating Workday with NetSuite, Zuora, Salesforce, AP and tax platforms, banking systems, and payment providers.
  • Build event-driven financial data pipelines on GCP using retry, idempotency, and dead-letter handling.
  • Turn partially defined requirements into design specifications or delivered technical solutions.
  • Own reconciliation, data integrity, failure detection, visibility, and recovery for financial integrations.
  • Set team-wide standards for contract design, error handling, observability, runbooks, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Production experience building and operating scalable, reliable backend microservices.
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript for service-layer development.
  • Experience designing RESTful APIs, service boundaries, contracts, and versioning.
  • Enterprise-system integration experience across ERP, CRM, billing, subscription, or finance platforms, including hands-on Workday integration with Studio, Orchestrate, EIB, Core Connectors, RaaS/BIRT, or Web Services.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL data stores, message queues, alerting, and test design.
  • Preferred experience with the Workday data model across Financials or Payroll, MuleSoft, Workato, Dell Boomi, XML, XSLT, JSON transformation, Kubernetes, and GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools.
