Responsibilities
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and deliver secure, high-quality production software solutions.
- Write, review, debug, and maintain Java and Python code across multiple technical areas.
- Lead adoption of authorized AI-assisted engineering tools for coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Establish validation standards for secure coding, peer review, automated testing, and AI-generated outputs.
- Identify and automate recurring remediation opportunities to improve application and system stability.
- Lead evaluations of external vendors, startups, internal teams, and architectural designs.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 10+ years of applied experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Java and Python.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Experience leading the effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and validating their correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Proficiency across the Software Development Life Cycle and advanced understanding of agile development, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- In-depth knowledge of financial-services industry IT systems and practical cloud-native experience.
- Preferred: platform engineering experience.
