Base Salary
$190k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Monitor, maintain, and improve the reliability and availability of production systems.
- Respond to and resolve incidents, conduct post-mortems, and help prevent recurrence.
- Define and track Service Level Objectives and Service Level Indicators.
- Collaborate with development teams to build reliability into services.
- Design and implement automation to reduce toil and improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for critical systems.
- Contribute to capacity planning and performance optimization.
- Document systems, processes, and runbooks for the wider team.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience ensuring system and service reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Hands-on experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting workloads in Kubernetes is required.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes Pods, Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, and Ingress, plus Kubernetes cluster administration.
- Experience or familiarity with Helm and understanding of Kubernetes networking, storage, and security best practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD tooling, monitoring and observability, infrastructure as code, configuration management, and programming or scripting.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, troubleshooting, and incident-response skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant degree.
- Experience contributing to open-source projects, familiarity with the Google SRE handbook, or previous DevOps or Platform Engineering experience is nice to have.
