Base Salary
$135k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, automate, and operate scalable multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure using Terraform or Pulumi.
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines that provide secure and consistent paths from code to production.
- Develop a self-service platform for provisioning compute, data, and machine learning resources.
- Embed security, data governance, quality, and compliance into platform capabilities.
- Establish observability, monitoring, alerting, incident response, reliability practices, and support tiers.
- Evaluate and integrate tools and services while translating cross-functional requirements into platform capabilities.
- Drive cross-team architecture and design decisions, establish technical standards and documentation, and mentor engineers.
- Travel up to 10% as needed.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience, including hands-on data and/or AI/ML infrastructure work.
- CS or Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Deep hands-on expertise with at least one major cloud platform and familiarity with multi-cloud data and AI services.
- Strong experience with Terraform or Pulumi, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in at least one automation or tooling language: Python, Go, or Bash.
- Solid security and networking fundamentals and experience operating production systems with monitoring, observability, incident response, and reliability practices.
- Ability to set technical direction at platform scale, drive architecture decisions, establish standards, and mentor engineers.
- Preferred experience includes life sciences, diagnostics, biotechnology, regulated industries, HIPAA, GxP, SOX, rigorous data governance, and matrixed environments.
