Responsibilities
- Install, configure, customize, and maintain Moodle LMS solutions for business requirements.
- Develop and maintain custom Moodle plugins, blocks, and themes.
- Perform Moodle version upgrades and maintain backward compatibility.
- Integrate Moodle with third-party systems using APIs and web services.
- Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain platform stability.
- Manage and tune MySQL/PostgreSQL databases and queries.
- Implement security, backups, and data protection compliance measures.
- Collaborate with instructional designers, administrators, and QA teams.
- Document technical processes, configurations, and solutions.
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience installing, configuring, customizing, and developing Moodle plugins and themes.
- Proficiency in PHP, MySQL or PostgreSQL, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with API integrations and REST or SOAP web services.
- Familiarity with Linux-based hosting and basic server administration.
- Knowledge of Git, Bitbucket, or other version control tools.
- Understanding of system security, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
- Moodle or cloud certifications are a plus.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus.
- Knowledge of SCORM or xAPI is desirable.
- Experience in Agile development environments is an advantage.
