Responsibilities
- Design and implement MLIR transformation passes, dialect conversions, and lowering pipelines.
- Work on tiling, scheduling, vectorization, and memory-planning problems for target hardware.
- Debug numerical correctness issues across compiler transformations.
- Develop and maintain compiler testing and validation infrastructure.
- Contribute to hardware-software co-design discussions.
- Profile, analyze, and optimize compiled workloads running on custom silicon.
- Own significant compiler subsystems from design through implementation and delivery.
- Collaborate with hardware architects, runtime developers, and AI researchers.
Requirements
- Strong C++ development experience.
- Hands-on experience with MLIR, LLVM, or another production compiler framework.
- Experience implementing production-quality compiler passes or transformations.
- Understanding of intermediate representations and compiler pipelines.
- Ability to work across abstraction layers from ML operator semantics to hardware constraints.
- Demonstrated ownership of technical work from design through delivery.
- Preferred experience with StableHLO, XLA, JAX, PyTorch, or ONNX model lowering.
- Preferred experience developing custom MLIR dialects.
- Preferred experience with DSP, VLIW, or AI accelerator compilation.
- Preferred experience with static scheduling, software-managed memory, tiling, loop transformations, or data-layout optimization.
- Preferred experience with quantization, mixed-precision lowering, or bare-metal and embedded runtime integration.
