Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate systems for reliable cloud-to-edge data synchronization.
Develop highly available and fault-tolerant Golang services and data pipelines.
Use CouchDB, Redpanda, and GCP Pub/Sub to support scalable data movement.
Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and developer tooling.
Contribute to replication and encryption services and internal tooling.
Own software work end to end, including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
Troubleshoot network failures, data inconsistencies, and distributed-system edge cases.
Improve system reliability, observability, scalability, and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data services across the platform.
Automate API validation, testing, and debugging.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Go, with strong production or open-source Golang experience preferred.
Strong understanding of data structures, system design, and distributed-system fundamentals.
Experience with Linux or macOS environments.
Familiarity with Git-based workflows, Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud environments, preferably GCP.
Experience with distributed systems, data pipelines, message streaming systems, NoSQL databases, Pub/Sub architectures, CI/CD automation, and observability tools is preferred.
Stand-out qualifications include data durability and recovery experience, Bazel or other build systems, Kubernetes CRDs or custom controllers, and debugging cross-system data flows.
Ability to guide architecture and design decisions, estimate work for stories and epics, complete milestones, and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
Familiarity with open-source projects and knowledge of networking, computing platforms, storage, databases, security, middleware, and systems-management technologies.

The position is based in Atlanta, Georgia.
