Responsibilities
- Define enterprise architecture strategy and direction for a broad portfolio of products and complex systems.
- Replace reactive architecture governance with automated compliance guardrails, certified Fast-Pass paths, and developer self-service capabilities.
- Lead the Patterns Council and coordinate Cloud Platform, Engineering, and Product leadership to prioritize reusable Paved Paths.
- Develop and certify cloud-native blueprints using Infrastructure-as-Code and Policy-as-Code.
- Champion GenAI-first design, AI/ML edge inference, cloud-native architectures, and emerging computing models.
- Integrate active/active deployments, disaster recovery, resilience frameworks, and FinOps practices into foundational blueprints.
- Influence executive stakeholders and establish secure-by-design partnerships across architecture, product, engineering, and security.
- Embed end-to-end ownership and the “You Build It, You Run It” philosophy across engineering teams.
- Mentor Directors, Staff Architects, and the broader engineering community.
Requirements
- 15+ years of progressive experience in software engineering and enterprise architecture.
- Executive leadership experience in high-throughput, ultra-low-latency, tier-one financial services, or SIFMU environments.
- Expertise in massive-scale, deterministic, ultra-low-latency financial systems architecture.
- Advanced experience with complex cloud migrations, sophisticated cloud topologies, hybrid-cloud environments, and Google Cloud Platform architecture.
- Deep knowledge of core engineering practices including C++ and high-throughput messaging.
- Advanced expertise in DevSecOps, Cloud Security Posture Management, Zero-Trust Network Access, Policy-as-Code, and automated compliance checking.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong strategic judgment, executive-level influence, conflict-management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Practical understanding of TOGAF 10 and agile, product-centric operating models.
- TOGAF 10 certification is highly preferred.
- Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect certification is highly desirable.
