Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, UX, architecture, platform, and technology teams to understand requirements and design solutions.
- Lead frontend design and development for a UI modernization initiative, with approximately 70% frontend and 30% backend work.
- Develop user interfaces using Angular, HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, NGRX, and Node.js.
- Design and develop backend applications using Java, Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, messaging frameworks, and microservices.
- Contribute to test case development, product quality planning, design reviews, code reviews, and regression testing.
- Evangelize micro-frontend engineering practices, web performance strategy, environment strategy, and build and deployment pipelines.
- Manage releases and participate in an on-call rotation providing Level 3 production support.
- Guide and mentor other associates and lead in-depth technical designs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
- Experience as a team lead or technical lead.
- 5+ years designing and developing user interface applications with Angular, HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, NGRX, and Node.js.
- 2+ years using NX Workspace, monorepos, micro-frontend architecture, and modular design.
- Experience with Jest, Cypress, Playwright, or similar testing frameworks.
- 2+ years of responsive and progressive modern web application development.
- 2+ years designing and developing backend applications using Java and object-oriented programming.
- Experience with microservices, Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, and messaging frameworks such as Kafka.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and frameworks such as Jenkins and Maven.
- Experience with public cloud platforms, preferably AWS, plus Docker, EKS, and serverless architecture.
- Knowledge of SQL development and PL/SQL procedures.
- Strong communication, teamwork, customer focus, self-direction, and results orientation.
