Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve the authorization platform to enable teams to determine user capabilities.
- Develop the authentication platform, integrating with Auth0 for various use cases.
- Create and manage the user management platform for provisioning and managing identities.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure platforms are secure by design and compliant with regulations.
- Implement scalable systems to accommodate a growing user base.
- Define the long-term roadmap for authentication, authorization, and user management.
- Build self-service systems and APIs for product engineering teams.
- Drive projects autonomously while maintaining alignment with the Helsinki team.
- Promote strong testing, observability, and reliability practices.
Requirements
- Strong experience in building and operating identity, authentication, or authorization platforms at scale.
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, GraphQL, gRPC, and REST.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Familiarity with identity and security protocols such as OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML 2.0.
- Knowledge of event-driven architecture patterns and automated testing practices.
- Experience in SOC2 and/or GDPR-compliant environments is a plus.
