Responsibilities
- Collaborate with global Fraud, Engineering, Product, and Risk teams to deliver data science products across Latam, South Africa, and APAC.
- Design, build, deploy, maintain, and continuously improve machine learning models for fraud detection.
- Improve fraud decisioning infrastructure by supporting new entity types, constructing rules, and scaling the system.
- Clean, preprocess, and extract features from large and complex datasets.
- Write production-level code with documentation, testing, and peer review.
- Lead testing, cost-benefit analysis, and integration of new data sources.
- Design and implement scalable feature-generation and extraction pipelines and model deployment and monitoring processes with the ML Platform and Tooling team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience as a data scientist, machine learning engineer, data engineer, or closely related professional.
- Proven experience writing production-level code and developing and maintaining machine learning models in production.
- High proficiency in Python and related libraries and frameworks such as Scikit-Learn, Pandas, and Flask.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the machine learning lifecycle, including data extraction, feature engineering, model serving, and monitoring for live and batch processing.
- Demonstrated experience with cloud providers, preferably AWS, and containerization tools such as Docker.
- Experience with fraud detection or machine learning applications in financial markets is preferred.
- Experience with LLMs or graph databases is preferred.
- Hands-on Databricks experience for developing, deploying, and monitoring machine learning workflows at scale is preferred.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing requirements.
