Responsibilities
- Design enterprise-scale AWS Glue data integration solutions for cloud-native applications and Data Mesh platforms.
- Lead serverless integration architectures using AWS Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, SQS, and AWS Glue.
- Develop and optimize AWS Glue ETL jobs with Python and PySpark.
- Build metadata-driven, configuration-over-code, event-driven, and reusable integration frameworks.
- Design integrations supporting JDBC, REST APIs, SFTP, and messaging-based systems.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK with TypeScript and CloudFormation.
- Lead multi-tenant architecture and cross-account deployment strategies across AWS environments.
- Develop backend services and serverless applications using TypeScript and Python.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodeBuild, Jenkins, and GitHub.
- Address security, governance, monitoring, reliability, performance, and cost optimization across AWS platforms.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, architects, and engineering teams on requirements, architecture reviews, and demonstrations.
- Mentor development teams and establish cloud integration and automation best practices.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and software delivery.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience is required; the posting also specifies a minimum of 6 years of AWS experience and 10–12+ years of hands-on AWS cloud integration experience in the professional qualifications section.
- Strong expertise in AWS Glue for ETL development, data transformation, workflow orchestration, and enterprise data integration.
- Experience with AWS Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge, S3, DynamoDB, Athena, SQS, and CodeBuild.
- Experience with AWS CDK using TypeScript and AWS CloudFormation.
- Knowledge of AWS security and related services including Cognito, WAF, Certificate Manager, CloudFront, Bedrock, and SageMaker.
- Strong programming skills in Python, PySpark, SQL, and TypeScript.
- Experience with serverless applications, backend services, event-driven architectures, Data Mesh, metadata-driven integration, and multi-tenant platforms.
- Experience with REST APIs, JDBC, SFTP, asynchronous messaging, JSON schema design, metadata management, and reusable integration frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub, Infrastructure as Code, cloud automation, and deployment strategies.
- Familiarity with GitHub Copilot and Claude Code for AI-assisted software development.
- Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, DevOps, SDLC, monitoring, troubleshooting, and cloud cost optimization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, stakeholder management, communication, technical leadership, and mentoring skills.
- A minimum of 15 years of full-time education is required.
