Responsibilities
- Build tooling that enables users to configure detection logic more easily and effectively.
- Enhance the platform so existing scores can be applied across a wider range of scenarios.
- Improve system performance for efficient analysis of very large datasets.
- Design, implement, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions.
- Take features from concept through release while collaborating with product teams and delivery experts.
- Contribute to stakeholder management, knowledge sharing, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Commercial Scala experience or functional programming experience with languages such as Java.
- Experience across the full engineering lifecycle, from design and implementation through testing and deployment.
- Ability to design and deliver well-engineered solutions to complex problems while considering the wider system.
- Experience with big-data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Elasticsearch is beneficial but not essential.
- Experience with DevOps tooling and approaches is beneficial but not essential.
- Experience building production batch data-processing pipelines, including ETL or analytics pipelines, is beneficial but not essential.
- Experience cleansing, parsing, standardizing, and otherwise improving data quality and integrity is beneficial but not essential.
- Passion and drive to grow within a fast-growing scale-up.
