Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and execution for complex features and systems across multiple teams or domains.
- Design and evolve scalable backend and frontend architecture.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code and lead code reviews.
- Investigate and resolve complex performance and reliability issues.
- Drive new feature releases end-to-end, including testing, documentation, and monitoring.
- Own strategic initiatives across telemedicine, home delivery, growth experimentation, pharmacy infrastructure, or new product lines.
- Mentor senior and junior engineers and help shape engineering culture.
- Partner with product, design, data, operations, and business leaders on roadmaps and execution.
- Prototype, test, and iterate on new ideas using experimentation and data-driven decision making.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with increasing scope and impact.
- Proven experience owning significant systems or product areas from design through launch.
- Strong expertise in at least one modern programming language such as Python, JavaScript, or Go.
- Experience with distributed systems, API design, and performance optimization.
- Passion for mentoring and helping teams grow.
- Experience influencing without authority and aligning stakeholders across functions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
