Base Salary
$156k - $182k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship frontend features, real-time systems, and backend infrastructure across the full stack.
- Build data pipelines and internal tools that help analysts add sources and maintain sector coverage.
- Improve agentic parsing and extraction systems for greater capability and reliability.
- Own work end to end, including data inspection, quality assurance, instrumentation, production releases, and issue resolution.
- Onboard new information sources and deliver measurable improvements to agentic system speed or reliability.
- Build a company ontology and ship an initial version of a core product feature within the first 30 days.
Requirements
- 2 to 7 years of professional software engineering experience building, shipping, and operating production systems end to end.
- Hands-on experience building and deploying agentic AI or LLM-based applications in production.
- Full-stack capability with Python backend development, FastAPI or an equivalent framework, TypeScript, and React.
- Strong experience with data infrastructure and pipelines, including ETL, data modeling, and SQL.
- Experience designing and optimizing PostgreSQL or similar relational databases.
- Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, production observability, monitoring, and debugging distributed systems.
- Familiarity with real-time data systems and streaming updates.
- Sound judgment about when AI agents should reason versus when deterministic software is more appropriate.
- Comfort operating with deep ownership and ambiguity on a small, fast-moving team.
- Experience in capital markets, equity research, investment banking, or financial services is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with tools such as dbt, columnar databases, or vector search systems is a plus.
- Must be a US citizen.
Benefits
- Salary range is $156,000 to $182,000 USD annually.
- Equity is expected given the founding-team nature of the role.
- On-site in New York City five days per week; candidates must already be local or willing to relocate.
