Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and support integrations with external sports data providers and internal capture systems.
- Develop and troubleshoot ingestion, transformation, validation, and publishing pipelines for real-time and near-real-time sports data.
- Support internal stats capture applications and workflows for sports including NRL and Cricket.
- Maintain data feeds for broadcast graphics, scoreboards, digital products, and internal tools, including Virtual Eye integrations.
- Investigate data quality, sequencing, match-state, application, database, and integration issues.
- Provide production support, incident response, root-cause analysis, and service recovery for a 24x7 sports data platform.
- Participate in an on-call roster and support live events, peak sporting periods, and critical match windows.
- Collaborate with stats operations, editorial, digital, product, broadcast, production, QA, and operations stakeholders.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL, including queries, stored procedures, views, triggers, data investigation, troubleshooting, and performance-aware database development.
- Experience developing or supporting C#/.NET applications, including desktop, service, integration, and modern or legacy .NET applications.
- Experience with data integration services, import processes, real-time or near-real-time pipelines, XML, JSON, and API or data-feed integration patterns.
- Experience troubleshooting production issues across application, database, and integration layers.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, EKS, Argo, and AWS.
- Experience working with sports data, live data feeds, real-time integrations, or providers such as Sportradar and Champion Data.
- Experience supporting broadcast, graphics, digital sports products, sports statistics platforms, or operational live-event systems.
- Preferred experience includes sports broadcast or media environments, OB graphics, Virtual Eye, sports data products, on-call support, incident management, service recovery, and post-incident reviews.
- Ability to work with internal operational stakeholders in high-pressure live environments.
